“Dick” was born in Denver on Nov. 27, 1931. He married Donna May in Seattle in 1953. Dick’s career work began in Renton as a teacher, then as a principal, and ultimately to his part in launching a new professional field called Organization Development, which occupied nearly 30 years of his life and took him to Vienna, Va., (with summers in Bethel, Maine) and Ellensburg, (to teach at Central Washington University) before becoming an independent consultant in 1980.

The family moved to Issaquah in 1988. In retirement, his loves included his wife and family, gardening and the house, his church and the choir, and mostly the annual winter vacations to Maui.

Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Donna May Albertson, two of three children and three grandchildren.

Remembrances can be made to the Renton First United Methodist Church Memorial Garden Project (2201 N.E. Fourth St., Renton, WA 98056).

Arrangements are by Flintoft’s Funeral Home and Crematory.
