A time of visitation was held Nov. 4 at Flintoft’s Issaquah Funeral Home. A funeral service is at 11 a.m. Nov. 5, also at Flintoft’s. Burial service will be at Upper Hillside Cemetery. 

Les was born in Ocala, Florida on June 19, 1932. He graduated from Highline High School and later attended the University of Washington. After high school, Les served in the United States Navy. He worked for The Boeing Co. as an engineer on a variety of projects before retiring in 1993.

Les was a devoted family man who enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting. He was a charter member of Boeing’s Coin Club and Stamp Club. He also enjoyed metal detecting and country music. 

In 1952, Les married his wife Jeanie, a bond that lasted him the rest of his life. In addition to wife Jeanie, Les is survived by three children, Allen and his wife, Donna, Carie and her husband, Randy, and John and his wife, Nancy; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family members and friends. 

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests remembrances in Lester’s name to Trinity Evangelical Church, 26729 S.E. 76th Place, Issaquah, WA 98027, or Providence Hospice of Seattle Foundation, 425 Pontius Ave N., Suite 300, Seattle, WA 98109.
