Laureita Caldwell, of Ann Arbor, Mich., and a former longtime Issaquah resident, died Nov. 2, 2008. She was 86.
A private family service is planned at a later date.
Laureita, the daughter of Bessie and Donald Conner, was born Feb. 25, 1922, in Tulsa, Okla.
The family moved from to the Seattle area in 1950. Laureita was a resident of Issaquah from 1969 until 2000. She received a high school degree from Tulsa Central High School.
Laureita was a member of the Community Church of Issaquah and the Issaquah Women’s Club. As owner of the Wildflower Inn in Issaquah, Laureita was active in the Bed and Breakfast Association.
In her spare time, Laureita enjoyed gardening, traveling, crafting and writing.
Her family remembers Laureita as being generous, lively, curious, witty, creative and competitive at Scrabble.
Laureita is survived by her daughters, Evelyn Gauthier, of Ann Arbor, and Lauren Jordan, of Austin, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to be made to the American Indian College Fund.
