Join Issaquah High School’s students and staff at their first December Dash at 9 a.m. Dec. 3.
The dash is a 5-kilometer run or walk on trails and roads near the high school that will benefit the Issaquah Food and Clothing Bank.
“When we decide to do a donation or a benefit, we want to stay local,” said Cara Hubbard, with the school’s associated student body council. “Since the food bank in suffering some lately, we decided it would be good to help out.”
Everyone is invited to join.
The event is part of the school’s Fall Frenzy Week, which recognizes the school’s students, athletes and their community spirit, said Megan Gonn, another A.S.B. member.
Participants that register on or before Dec. 2, at the high school’s main office, will receive “a cool T-shirt,” for the event, Hubbard said. Early registration ensures there are enough shirts ordered.
Participants can also register the day of the event, beginning at 8 a.m., but shirts aren’t guaranteed for them.
