Cougar Mountain Zoo’s Reindeer Festival is from 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. through Dec. 23 and Dec. 26-30. Visit Santa in his house, sit in the Grand Traveling Sleigh, write Santa a letter and deliver it to his personal mail box, hear an elf read favorite Christmas stories and watch Santa’s reindeer in action. Mills Music of Issaquah presents a holiday concert, featuring instructor Tony Grasso and instructors and students, from 5-7 p.m. Dec. 4 at 170 Front St. N. Call 392-1000.The Issaquah History Museums’ annual holiday open house is from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Dec. 6 at the Issaquah Train Depot, 50 Rainier Blvd. N. This free event features refreshments, activities for the whole family, live music, a holiday craft fair, a visit from Santa and children’s holiday crafting. The annual Community Tree Lighting Celebration is from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Dec. 6 at the intersection of Front Street North, Dogwood Street and Rainier Boulevard. Santa arrives at 5 p.m. There will be hot cocoa, cider, cookie decorating, music and caroling. Bring nonperishable items for the Issaquah Food Bank.
Master Chorus Eastside presents “Welcome Sir Christmas” at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 6 at the Eastlake Performing Arts Center, Eastlake High School, 400 228th Ave. N.E. Tickets are available by calling 392-8446, online at www.ticketweb.com or at the door.
The annual Issaquah Highlands Christmas Festival is from 4-7 p.m. Dec. 7 at Village Green and Blakely Hall, 2550 N.E. Park Drive. There will be carolers, pictures with Santa, storytime with Mrs. Claus, Christmas tree ornament crafting, horse-drawn hayrides, refreshments, Christmas cookie decorating, a live nativity and more. Cougar Mountain Zoo’s rare Bengal tigers celebrate Christmas when they receive their gifts at 1 p.m. Dec. 23, including their own Christmas tree, wreath and gift boxes to destroy, as well as bones and other items to make a mess out of. The zoo is at 19525 S.E. 54th St. Call 392-6278.
