Paul A. Weed, of Issaquah, died Friday, Nov. 21, 2008, after a long illness. He was 74.
A memorial service is at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at Flintoft’s Issaquah Funeral Home, 540 E. Sunset Way.
Paul was born Sept. 10, 1934, in Portland, Ore., to Clyde and Leona Weed. He was raised in West Seattle and graduated from West Seattle High School. He served with the United States Army from 1954-1957. On Feb. 7, 1958, he married June Merrill in Kirkland. Paul owned and operated Aviation Instrument Service International Inc. He and his wife moved to Issaquah in 1967.
Paul was a member of the Elks of Issaquah, the Issaquah Travel Club and the VA. He enjoyed traveling, reading and spending time with his family. His family remembers him as wonderful and kind with a great sense of humor, and a perfect husband, dad and grandfather.
Survivors include his loving wife June, of Issaquah; two sons, Steve, of Graham, and Scott, of Covington; daughter Sally Weed-Akins, of Tulsa, Okla.; brother Jerry Weed, of Lynnwood; and four grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests remembrances to The American Diabetes Association.
