Bellevue women schemed to steal money from elderly city man, police say

Issaquah police have arrested two Bellevue women in a scheme to steal money from an elderly Issaquah man.

The arrests took place Dec. 11 in Bellevue, according to Cmdr. Scott Behrbaum. He said the women, ages 29 and 56, were reported to the police by Adult Protective Services after they tried to take advantage of the vulnerable 78-year-old. Read more

Give or deliver toys to local children in need through Toys for Tots

The Marine Corps League Puget Sound Detachment 336 is hosting a Toys for Tots collection from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. through Wednesday at the Myrtle Lodge 108, 57 W. Sunset Way.

New and gently used, unwrapped toys will be accepted, as well as cash and checks made out to “Marine Corps League — Toys for Tots.”
