The Issaquah Christian Church’s annual Christmas Tree Lot is open from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. Monday – Friday and from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, through Dec. 24, at 10328 Issaquah-Hobart Road, S.E. All proceeds support church missions, including home building in Mexico. There will be a variety of trees, stands and ornaments, hot chocolate, apple cider, coffee and cookies served, accompanied by Christmas songs. Call 392-5848 or go to www.iccweb.org.Cougar Mountain Zoo’s Reindeer Festival is from 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. through Dec. 23 and Dec. 26-30. Visit Santa in his house, sit in the Grand Traveling Sleigh, write Santa a letter and deliver it to his personal mail box, hear an elf read favorite Christmas stories and watch Santa’s reindeer in action. A Toddler Time Christmas Party is from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Dec. 17 at the Sammamish Hills Lutheran Church, 22818 S.E. Eighth St. Enjoy snacks, Christmas crafts and songs. The event is for children up to age 5. A $1 donation is appreciated. Call 392-7799.

Cougar Mountain Zoo’s rare Bengal tigers celebrate Christmas when they receive their gifts at 1 p.m. Dec. 23. The zoo is at 19525 S.E. 54th St. Call 392-6278. 

Music events

All ages are invited to enjoy “Holiday Songs Around the World” at 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. Dec. 17 at the Issaquah Library, 10 W. Sunset Way. Discover holiday songs from Latin America, Japan and other countries accompanied by a wonderful array of instruments, including Andean bamboo flutes, the marimba, percussion and guitar. The Issaquah Valley Senior Center presents a free Holiday Sing Along at 11:15 a.m. Dec. 19 at 75 N.E. Creek Way. Seniors ages 55 and up are invited to join pianist Carmen to sing holiday favorites, or just come and enjoy the music. Call 392-2381.

Pine Lake Covenant Church hosts the David Harsh Christmas Concert, from 6-7:30 p.m. Dec. 20, at 1715 228th Ave S.E. Harsh will perform a free concert of traditional and original music. Call 392-8636.

Pine Lake Covenant Church hosts a Children’s Christmas Program, at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 21, at 1715 228th Ave S.E. Come enjoy the children as they tell the story of Christmas through narration and songs. After the show, there will be a cookie social. Call 392-8636.
