Charlie, was a recent widower, but is survived by his four children, Linda (Schaefer) Holecek and husband John, of Renton, Marvin Schaefer and wife Kathy, of Issaquah, Cindy (Schaefer) Majors and husband Jim, of Ellensburg, and Ryan Schaefer, of Issaquah; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother Walt Schaefer, of Renton; and sister Marion (Schaefer) Jordan, of Reno, Nev.
