Floyd Gunnar Seil, of Kirkland, died March 5, 2009, in Kirkland. He was 50.A memorial will be from 1-4 p.m. at Beaver Lake Lodge, 25101 S.E. 24th Street, Sammamish. Dress is casual. 

Floyd was born April 6, 1958, in Renton, one of four children of Chet Seil and Sylvia Brown. He was raised in Issaquah, and he grew up on Cougar Mountain. He wrestled in middle and high school.

Floyd graduated from Issaquah High School in 1976. He got a certificate as a surgical assistant in 1990, after working as a surgical technician for several years. He was highly respected in the medical community for his work as a surgical assistant. He worked as a surgical assistant at Overlake Hospital and also was a manager of the store Tuesday Morning.

Floyd was a good athlete and completed several triathlons in the 1990s. In his leisure time, he enjoyed hiking, camping, triathlons, biking and softball.

He will be remembered by his loved ones as a good man with a good heart, an intelligent, hard-working man who loved his daughters greatly.

He is survived by his daughters Lily and Erika, of Kirkland; mother Sylvia Brown, of Whidbey Island; father Chet Seil, of Hoquiam; sister Jodine Seawel, of North Bend; and brothers Mike Seil, of Eagle, Idaho, and Rex Seil, of Issaquah.
