Area gastroenterology practice provides free colonoscopies

Puget Sound Gastroenterology in Seattle and Eastside Gastroenterology in Kirkland will provide 50 free colonoscopies to eligible patients ages 50 and over who have been impacted by the economic downturn in support of National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month.
The screens, beginning April 15, are for those who have not yet been screened for colon cancer and to help prevent the third most commonly diagnosed cancer in the United States.
