Going to a new school can be overwhelming. You wonder if you will make new friends, get good grades and overall enjoy the school.
I moved to Issaquah last summer from Colorado, and I attend Issaquah High School as a sophomore. I have found out a lot about the way Issaquah High works, and so far I have had a great experience here.
One thing to note when you are a new student here is the academic work. Issaquah High takes pride in being a good school with smart students. Issaquah High is a school where the style and amount of work takes getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, it will seem like you have been in this school your whole life.
If you are really having trouble, we have great teachers at this school who are typically flexible and will do whatever it takes to make sure you can be the best you can be. IHS definitely prepares you for college and the “real world.”
I have discovered that Issaquah students are welcoming. Generally, the students here are quite friendly and eager to make friends with new people. Issaquah does not have many cliques, either, and there are many extracurricular activities, such as clubs and sports.
The class selection is also great; there is something for everyone here! Even the spirit is awesome at Issaquah. Everyone goes out to support our teams, and the students take great pride in our school.
Issaquah High is a great place to get an education, make friends and have the high school experience.
