Mayor Ava Frisinger, center, accepted a King County Green Globe award at an April 22 ceremony in downtown Seattle. Joining the mayor were, from left, Parks & Recreation Director Anne McGill, Parks Planner Margaret Macleod, King County Councilwoman Kathy Lambert and city Senior Planner Debi Kirac. Issaquah received the award for efforts to preserve open space.
