Issaquah girls lacrosse in title game

The Issaquah School District girls lacrosse team plays Mercer Island in the Washington State League Division II state championship game Saturday at 11 a.m. at Eastside Catholic High School.

Issaquah defeated Lakeside 13-7 Thursday in a semifinal. Mercer Island defeated Snohomish 12-8 in the other semifinals. Brittany Hogan scored four goals and had two assists to lead Issaquah past Lakeside. Katie Mincin and Sidney Lee each had three goals. Goalkeeper Teagan Cameron had 12 saves.

Eagles on the road

The Issaquah High School baseball team plays at Kelso Saturday in a playoff for a berth in the 4A state regionals. Issaquah ended up as the KingCo Conference’s No. 4 seed when the Eagles lost to Inglemoor 12-9 Thursday in the league tournament at Woodinville.

Brennan Miller and Devin O’Donnell each had three hits for Issaquah. Michael Dixon and O’Donnell each drove in two runs.

Patriots lose to Sammamish

The Liberty High School softball team was stunned Thursday when the Patriots lost to Sammamish 16-10 in the opening round of the 3A KingCo Conference tournament.

Marissa Jeffers and Liz Roby each had two hits for Liberty, which plays today in a loser-out, winner to district contest.
