Issaquah Triathlon set for May 30

The ninth annual Issaquah Triathlon, which often kicks off the season for experienced triathletes and is the starting event for some novices, is May 30 at Lake Sammamish State Park.Information and registration stations open at 5:30 a.m. Athletes who haven’t pre-registered can register 30 minutes prior to the races. They can also register in the next two days at Foot Zone in Issaquah.
The Issaquah Triathlon provides racing for athletes of all ages.
Starting the day’s schedule is the popular sprint triathlon at 7 a.m. The course consists of a one-quarter mile swim off Sunset Beach, a 15-mile bicycle ride and a 3-mile run. There will be a mandatory course review meeting at 6:45 a.m.
Following up the sprint triathlon is a new addition to the event’s schedule, the sprint duathlon. The duathlon consists of a 15-mile bicycle ride and a 3-mile run.
At about 8:30 a.m., the Issaquah Triathlon holds the 5K and 10K runs. The courses start in the Sunset Beach parking area.
One of the popular events for children and parents is the kids’ triathlon, which starts at about 9:30 a.m. The race is open to children ages 6-12. The course consists of a 75-meter swim, a 3.3-kilometer bike ride and a 1-kilometer run.

I think the info in this article is incorrect. I don’t believe there is any day of race registration for the triathlon on Saturday morning only for the running events.
