Garry Nakayama, the Mills Music educational rep servicing the Issaquah School trumpet-award-20090514bDistrict, and Steve Wilson, the district sales manager for Jupiter Band Instruments, came to the school to present the prize, a Jupiter XO professional trumpet. In the 15-and-under division, the 10-year-old is the youngest winner in the 17-year history of the competition. Dungey’s winning performance can be seen on YouTube.
