The Issaquah History Museums’ yellow caboose is getting a bit shabby and needs some work. It needs both exterior and interior work done during warmer weather to make the caboose more secure and weatherproof.
Museums’ officials have identified several tasks that could be done with volunteer help. These tasks are to rebuild several cupola window frames and both entry doors. The work involved is primarily woodworking and could be done in a home workshop as your time allows.
The Museums’ Auto Freight Building and its equipment can also be made available for the work almost any time.
If you’re interested in helping, e-mail your name and contact information to volunteer@issaquahhistory.org, or call 392-3500.
