Dolores Busby, of Issaquah, died Aug. 15, 2009, at Overlake Hospital in Bellevue. She was 80.A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21, at Flintoft’s Issaquah Funeral Home, 540 E. Sunset Way. A committal will be held at Hillside Cemetery. A reception will follow at Foothills Baptist Church, Issaquah.

Dolores was born July 30, 1929, in Renton, to Henry and Constance Kinnune. As pioneers residing in the town of Issaquah, Dolores lived with her parents above her father’s shoe shop on Front Street. After settling in a home on the Issaquah Creek, and growing up with her two younger brothers Roger and Charles, she graduated from Issaquah High School in 1947.

Dolores married Wayne Busby on Feb. 18, 1955, and made their life together in a home on East Lake Sammamish Parkway. Dolores lived for her family, home and her vacation property outside of Westport, where many memories were made. Dolores was an active member of Issaquah Children’s Guild, Issaquah Senior Center, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Issaquah Valley Grange. She was hostess to a weekly women’s bible study.

She was preceded in death by her husband Wayne Busby. Dolores is survived by her son Mark (Rebecca) Seil, of Snoqualmie; daughters Nicki (Mike) Creighton, of Issaquah, and Connie (Doug) Kirk, of Bothell; seven grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; stepdaughters Diana Thomason and Margo (Richard) Campbell; and five stepgrandchildren.
