Brighten the lives of area seniors by joining the only choir in the Seattle area to perform popular songs from the 1930s, ’40s and ’50s.

Rehearsals for the Issaquah Singers 2009-10 concert season begin at 7 p.m. tonight at the Community Church of Issaquah, 205 Mountain Park Blvd. S.W.

Issaquah Singers is a four-part choir that sings popular music at senior living centers and civic events on Saturdays, every six weeks between October and June.

Choir members represent a broad age group, from 20somethings to 80somethings. Although no auditions are required, the ability to match pitch is essential. Previous choral experience is helpful. Members pay a small amount in dues to offset the cost of music.
