Eagles win fourth straight volleyball match

The Issaquah High School volleyball team won its fourth straight 4A KingCo Conference match Oct.7 when the Eagles swept host Roosevelt.

Issaquah won the games 25-15, 25-13, 25-14.

Rachel Roeder had nine kills and five aces, Alyssa Schultz scored six kills and three blocks, Stephanie Stoll had 10 kills, Sarah Hanna had 11 kills, Alexa Batquin added 13 digs and Riley Sorenson lent 41 assists for Issaquah.

The Eagles, who got off to a slow start this season, went to 5-1 in league competition and 5-4 overall.

In other action, Skyline lost to Bothell 3-2. The Spartans won the first two games 25-18, 25-21, and then dropped the next two 18-25, 12-25. Bothell won the tiebreaker 15-6.

Olivia Marquardt had 15 kills and 14 digs, Maddie Magee added 17 kills and 10 digs, Madison Stoa scored 36 assists and 13 digs, and Paige Haas had five kills, 10 digs and three aces for Skyline.

The Spartans are 3-3 in league play.
