Join Mountains to Sound Greenway volunteers in the next few weeks as they plant more than 25,000 native trees, shrubs and plants to enhance local parks.

The planting will take place Saturday at Lake Sammamish State Park. Volunteers will plant aquatic vegetation in Issaquah Creek. Volunteers should wear hip waders and rubber boots.

Sign up for any of the events here. Volunteers may participate in full- or half-day shifts.

Volunteers will kick off tree-planting season Oct. 17 at Lake Sammamish State Park. The state park events continue Oct. 24-25, 31 and Nov. 7.

Volunteers will also plant trees Nov. 7 at Timberlake Park and along Issaquah Creek.
