Howard A. Bunger died Oct. 12, 2009. He was 78.A celebration of life and memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. Oct. 17 at Flintoft’s Issaquah Funeral Home, 540 E. Sunset Way, Issaquah.

Howard was born March 2, 1931 in Yakima, to George and Eula Bunger. He joined the U.S. Navy in January 1951 and was honorably discharged in 1954.

In July 1960, he married Marjorie Jean Forenpohar, in Cle Elum. Howard was a sales manager for the G.E. Credit Corp. In 1973, they moved to Issaquah, where he has remained a resident until his death.

Howard is survived by his wife of 49 years, Marjorie; and daughters Lorri (husband Scott) Wert, Ronae Bunger and Dawn (husband Michael) Porter. Marjorie and Howard also helped raise two nephews, both of whom he considered his children as well. Howard is also survived by his sisters Joyce Darling and Muriel Driver; four grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
