Children and grown-ups alike can pick up goodies Saturday at a Halloween party hosted by Eastside Fire & Rescue Station 79 volunteers.

The free festivities run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the station, 20505 S.E. 152nd St., Renton.

Volunteers will offer free blood pressure and blood sugar checks for adults. Children can load up on safety tips in time for All Hallows Eve. Halloween bags, badges, coloring books and stickers will be available.

A haunted maze and pumpkin-carving event are on the lineup, too, and Sparky the Fire Dog will pass out candy.

Volunteers will also sponsor a food drive. Bring a nonperishable item to drop off in the food box at the fire station.
