The Issaquah Garden Club will host an auction at Tibbetts Creek Manor, 750 17th Ave. N.W., from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Wednesday.
With more than 150 live and silent auction items, like season tickets to Village Theatre, quilts and artwork, you just may get carried away — but it’s for a good cause. All auction proceeds go toward charitable organizations, events and activities that garden club members sponsor.
For instance, garden club members purchased and donated more than $1,000 worth of formula and diapers to the Issaquah Food and Clothing Bank last year. They also hosted two horticultural programs at Issaquah Valley Elementary School and Tiger Mountain Community High School, said Diane Tanner, club president.
There is no entry fee for the auction and free food and refreshments are provided.
The Issaquah Garden Club has been a part of the community for 81 years and is the longest running garden club in the state.
