Issaquah Parks has a variety of basketball programs for adults including the noontime hoops from noon to 2 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday at Issaquah Community Center. The 40-and-over noon hoops are noon-2 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, and 8:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday at Issaquah Community Center. There is an open gym Tuesday, 8-9 p.m.Youth sports/activities

Lessons – The Washington Fencing Academy has started fencing lessons for youth, beginning and intermediate groups this week at Clark Elementary School. Register at or call 837-3300. Pre-competition and open fencing lessons for fencers 13-and-up also started this week.


Lessons – Issaquah Parks has started a new session in beginning and continued karate. Classes are for youth 6-12 and are held Thursdays at the Issaquah Community Center. Beginning classes are 5:15-6 p.m., continued 6-6:45 p.m. The Washington Shotokan Association provides the instruction. Call 837-3300.

Workouts – Issaquah Gliders has started workouts for middle school and high school runners. Workouts run through Dec. 8.
