Hear from the lawmakers who represent Issaquah in the state House at a Dec. 2 event organized by Issaquah Highlands residents.
The free event will be the second in a lecture series designed to bring together Issaquah voters and elected officials. Glenn Anderson and Jay Rodne, whose districts include Issaquah, are scheduled to attend the 6:30 p.m. event at the highlands’ Blakely Hall, 2550 N.E. Park Drive.
Anderson, a Fall City Republican, and Rodne, a North Bend Republican, will speak and answer questions during a program organized by the Issaquah Highlands Government & Politics Group. The committee seeks to educate residents about the political process and answer voters’ questions about local government issues.
The committee scheduled another event for Feb. 10. Highlands leaders will explain how community governance works in the hillside community.
The first in the series of get-to-know-government forums was a success. About 25 people gathered at Blakely Hall for an Oct. 14 event, which featured presentations from Mayor Ava Frisinger and King County Councilwoman Kathy Lambert, who represents Issaquah.
