Issaquah boys win opener
Nick Price and Joe Evans combined for 34 points Nov. 30 as the Issaquah High School boys basketball team opened its season with a 60-54 non-league victory against host Kent-Meridian.
Issaquah trailed by two points at halftime, but shot to a 44-40 lead in the third quarter and pulled away in the final period to win the contest.
Price, one of Issaquah’s top returnees, led all players with 18 points. Evans, another top returnee, had 16 points. Steven Rael contributed seven points and Nik Landdeck six.
