I'm not up to date enough on Issaquah to picture where this goes, but the credible critical comments are interesting to related, timely, issues here in Tacoma.

Sound Transit is rushing through a combined wetland mitigation trail board walk project that, while nice, also seems not fully thought through.

Based on this story I am getting the impression that Sound Transit is attempting to build a trail profile quick. Though I would be a supporter of ST trail funding as a synergistic component of projects, it seems more likely this is politically motivated - likely due in part the ignoring of the Tacoma Comp plan's goals for trails in the vicinity of the Tacoma Dome 'Post and Beam' controversy - which the astute regional reader should be aware of.

I have used a trail (road) below I-90 on Gilman just east of the post office. South terminus East Lake Sammamish Trail is what Google says. This is a very effective way to get across the freeway (underpass, no traffic, etc). Why spend 6 million to connect a useless boardwalk to no where to the Sammamish trail when a perfect solution already exists?
