When it comes to school spirit, the Eagles lead the pack

If there is one thing that is certain, Issaquah High School has spirit.
We dress up on spirit days, whether it is in all white, in footie pajamas or in hideously ugly sweaters. We watch I-Vision, our school’s TV channel, with full attention and often quite a bit of mirth. We have schoolwide inside jokes, we make fools of ourselves — we, frankly, enjoy ourselves to the absolute fullest.
There is no doubt in my mind that of the Issaquah district schools, IHS has the most exuberantly spirited students, even if our campus is far from pretty. After all, at what other high school would there be three Santas walking around campus, carrying their books in their toy bags? At what other high school would Advanced Placement literature students organize a dance party including a strobe light and still get all their reading and analyzing done?
These are Issy things and each and every student is a part of it. We may be founded on pride and tradition, but what really keeps us together is the spirit. This spirit exudes even from the bricks of the school walls that are soon to be torn down. This spirit will not wane when they finally are.
We are Issaquah High School, we are united, we are outgoing and we have spirit! Anyone who says otherwise has not seen the school hallways, recently decorated by students for the holidays on their own time.
