The King County Road Services Division will begin pedestrian safety improvements along a section of Southeast Issaquah-Fall City Road between 247th Place Southeast and Klahanie Drive Southeast beginning the week of Feb. 15.

County workers will make several improvements along the stretch of roadway, including the installation of a 5-foot-wide concrete sidewalk, a bicycle lane and additional lighting along the north side of the roadway. The project is expected to take about two months to complete.

Motorists should be advised that the one westbound lane of Southeast Issaquah-Fall City Road will be closed from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Monday through Friday during the construction period. Therefore, motorists may experience periodic traffic delays. Workers will attempt to keep those disruptions to a minimum.
