Bill Hollingsworth

S. William (Bill) Hollingsworth died Feb. 5, 2010. He was 84.A memorial service is at 2 p.m. Feb. 13 at First Congregational Church in Bellevue.

Born Aug. 27, 1925, in Philadelphia, Bill served in the Army in World War II and was wounded in France.

He later graduated from Dickinson College and Wesley Theological Seminary, serving in United Methodist pastorates in central Pennsylvania for 18 years.

Bill then became a federal investigator for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in the deep South. He transferred to the Seattle office in 1972, when he and his wife Kay bought rural property south of Issaquah.

In retirement, Bill continued to be active in clergy functions and he enjoyed woodworking, model trains, classical music, participation in church choir and spending time with horses and dogs that he and Kay so loved.

Survivors include wife Kay, sons Kenneth and David, and sister Jean Mansley.

Remembrances are suggested to First Congregational Church of Bellevue or the Issaquah Food Bank.
