Catherine (Kay) H. Goodman died January 26, 2010, in the presence of family. She was 87.At her request, no services will be held.

Catherine was born in Republic, Wash., the daughter of William and Esther Hall. She graduated from Republic High School. She received her teaching degree from Central Washington State College and taught at the elementary level. She lived in Issaquah from 1993 to 1997.

Catherine was a member of the Issaquah, Colville and Sitka historical societies, the Issaquah Senior Club, the Order of Eastern Star, the Christian Science Church and the Elderhostel. She was past member of A.A.U.W., P.D.K. and the Republic Historical Society. In her leisure time, Catherine enjoyed traveling, reading, sewing, church activities, being a story lady, reading helper and museum docent.

Catherine is survived by three daughters, Marguerite Dodge, of Issaquah, Elizabeth Skaggs, of Portland, Ore., and Roberta Day, of Missouri; one son, Richard Goodman, of Issaquah; a sister, Nancy Wishon, of Colville; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances are suggested to the Issaquah Library or the Issaquah Senior Center.

Arrangements are by Flintoft’s Funeral Home and Crematory.
