Mary Louise Quinn

Mary Louise Quinn, of Ellensburg, died Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010, in Yakima. She was 79.A funeral service was held Feb. 26 at Shoreline Covenant Church. A private burial was held at Holyrood Cemetery, also in Shoreline.

Mary was born July 27, 1930, in Los Angeles, to Jared and Kathleen Scott. She was raised in Los Angeles and graduated from Bellingham High School in 1947.

In 1962, Mary and her abiding husband, Dale Bernard Quinn, settled in Issaquah, where they raised a family. In 1989, they moved to Carnation and in 2009, they moved to Ellensburg. Mary worked at home, taking care of the family and household.

In her leisure time, Mary loved gardening, camping, gambling, dancing and spending time with her family. Her family remembers her as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who possessed a fun-loving spirit and beautiful nature. A family-centric Irish Lass who was an eloquent fiery pistol, she is deeply missed.

Survivors include her steadfast husband, Dale Bernard Quinn, of Ellensburg; adoring children, Rocklyn Lewis Quinn, of Kent, Robb Edward Quinn, of Ellensburg, Gregory Joseph Quinn, of Ellensburg, and Kathleen Patricia Quinn (Blue), of Carnation; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family members and friends.

Arrangements are entrusted to Flintoft’s Funeral Home and Crematory, 392-6444.
