Nominate businesses with outstanding community service records for a state Corporations for Communities Award.

Find the nomination form at the Secretary of State Web site here. Nominate businesses by March 15.

Secretary of State Sam Reed started the program last year to recognize local businesses for making a difference around the Evergreen State. Winners receive a National Association of Secretaries of State Medallion — highest civics honor awarded by the state.

Officials will announce winners in April, and a small corporation and a large corporation will receive awards then.

Reed honored Issaquah developer Rowley Properties with honorable mention through the program last fall. Rowley Properties, along with other honorable mention recipients, received certificates from Reed during a Nov. 4 ceremony at KING-TV in Seattle. KING-TV and Composite Solutions, of Auburn, took the top honors last year.
