Adult Sports

Cascade Bicycle Club

Volleyball

-Issaquah Parks has open gym for volleyball on Mondays from 6-9 p.m. at the community center.

Kayaking

-March 27, 9 a.m., 1:30 p.m., Lake Sammamish State Park and Issaquah Paddle Sports offer kayak nature tours. Preregistration required. Call 206-527-1825.

Tennis

-Tennis and friends – Issaquah Parks program for people 50 years and up at Tibbetts Valley Tennis Courts. Daily sessions from 9 a.m.-noon. Call 369-8332.

Youth sports/activities

Baseball

-Little Sluggers – Issaquah Parks offers classes on the basic skills and fundamentals of T-ball for ages 5-6. Classes run from April 7-May 26, Wednesdays, 3:10-3:55 p.m. at the Community Center. For further information, call 837-3300.

Volleyball

-Clinic – Skyhawks Volleyball Clinic for ages 8-11 runs from April 7-May 26, 5:15-6:45 p.m., Wednesdays at the Community Center. The clinic has drills on passing, setting, hitting and serving. To register, go to www.Skyhawks.com.

Equestrian

-Riding lessons – The Red Gate Farm in Sammamish offers year-round riding lessons for ages 6-18. Call 392-0111.

Fencing

-Lessons – The Washington Fencing Academy offers fencing lessons for youth, beginning and intermediate groups at Clark Elementary School. Register at www.issaquahparks.net or call 837-3300. Pre-competition and open fencing lessons for fencers 13-and-up are also offered.

Karate

-Lessons – Issaquah Parks has sessions in beginning and continued karate. Classes are for youth 6-12 and are held Thursdays at the Issaquah Community Center. Beginning classes are 5:15-6 p.m., continued 6-6:45 p.m. The Washington Shotokan Association provides the instruction. Call 837-3300.

Soccer

-Sneakers & Socks – Issaquah Parks offers classes for ages 6-8 on the fundamental skills of soccer. Classes run from April 6-May 25, 4-5 p.m., Tuesdays at the Community Center. Call 837-3350.

Swimming

-Lessons – Issaquah Parks offers swimming lessons on Monday and Wednesday at Boehm Pool. Session 4 has already started. Call 837-3350.

Basketball

-Hoopsters – Issaquah Parks offers basketball for ages 6-8 April 8-June 3, 5-5:30 p.m., Thursdays at the Community Center. Call 837-3350.

Wrestling

-Instruction – Sammamish Plateau Wrestling Club teaches freestyle and Greco wrestling techniques to youngsters K-12, and has a summer camp. Classes are 6-7 p.m. for grades 1-6, and 7-8 p.m. for grade 7-12 Tuesday and Wednesday at Beaver Lake Middle School wrestling room. Call 445-1389.
