“Food, Inc.” looks at the impacts of food choices on health, worker safety and the environment. The movie focuses on several aspects of the food industry — everything from herbicide-resistant soybean seeds to new strains of E. coli to widespread obesity.

The event runs from 6-9 p.m. at Pickering Barn, 1730 10th Ave. N.W. Call 837-3400 to learn more.

The city Resource Conservation Office presents the free series. Local food experts will conduct a panel discussion after the film. Chipotle will provide snacks.
