The Issaquah High School baseball team sits alone in first place of the Crest Division today after walloping Eastlake 11-1 on Monday in a five-inning 4A KingCo Conference contest.

Issaquah’s bats matched the steady rain that fell throughout the game. The Eagles, 10-3, pounded out 13 hits.

Spencer Rogers led Issaquah with three hits. He also drove in a run. Devin O’Donnell and pitcher Shane Yarnell each had two hits and two RBIs. Mike Paulson and Grant Gellatly each had two hits.

Issaquah scored five times each in the first and second innings. Eastlake got its run in the top of the fourth but Issaquah answered in the bottom of the fifth. Because of the 10-run rule, the contest was called.

Yarnell struck out five batters and didn’t allow a walk in raising his record to 7-0.
