Clean out the attic and dig in the jewelry box as modern-day treasure hunters descend on Issaquah.

Treasure Hunters Roadshow rolled into town Tuesday, and antique and collectible experts will be available through Saturday to talk about heirlooms and, perhaps, some hidden gems.

Find the roadshow at Hilton Garden Inn, 1800 N.W. Gilman Blvd. The event runs from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. through Thursday and 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Friday. Call 217-726-7590 for more information. Learn more about the event here.

Organizers expect the free event to draw more than 1,200 residents. The so-called treasure hunters will appraise coins and paper currency issued prior to 1965, toys, dolls, trains, vintage jewelry, old and modern musical instruments, war memorabilia, gold and silver jewelry, costume jewelry, advertising memorabilia, swords, knives, daggers and anything unusual.
