Micro-earthquake recorded near here

The ground beneath Issaquah shook last week, though most residents did not feel the tiny temblor.
University of Washington seismologists said the magnitude 1.1 micro-earthquake occurred at 2:29 p.m. June 9, about four miles east of Issaquah. The quake struck at a depth of five miles. Such small quakes rarely cause structural damage.
