Issaquah High School graduate and IHS baseball star Colin Curtis earned his first Major League hit Tuesday to help the New York Yankees defeat the Arizona Diamondbacks 9-3. Watch the hit here.
Curtis entered the game as a pinch-hitter in the eighth inning and ripped a two-run double. The hit came not far from where Curtis played college ball at Arizona State University.
“It was an amazing feeling getting out there,” Curtis said in a post-game interview posted to MLB.com. “We put together a big inning, and to cap it off with the first big league hit, I knew I hit it good and I started running.”
