Cascade Garden fire
The folks at Cascade Garden created a “special soup for Donna” when she was undergoing chemo treatment for cancer. A very thoughtful staff. One of my favorite restaurants. Andy, I hope you are back in business in short order.

Fraternity Snoqualmie skinny dip
Personally, I find it absolutely natural to just wear your “birthday suit.” Not that I would, but I grew up in Scandinavia, where it was pretty normal. Some folks liked it, others not. Your choice. If you get a chance, read Rick Steves’ “European nudes and American prudes” from July 6, 2010. He sees it from an American point of view; I see it from a Scandinavian point of view.

Great article. I have heard all about the stuff up the hill, because my father was stationed with the unit that handled things up there during the conversion from conventional ack ack guns to the missiles. I even live on Ack Ack Creek.

David Adams disappearance
I went to school with David’s older brother, and my older brother and his friends participated in the search for David. We never considered a stranger abduction; that just was never bought up at all. Oddly enough, where David vanished was less than a mile from where the Weyerhaeuser baby was held when he was kidnapped back in the 1930s!
