Mellow Issaquah musician Dan Connolly headlines a concert series at a Redmond theater, starting at 8 p.m. Saturday.
For the sets at SecondStory Repertory at Redmond Town Center, the Navy-diver-turned-musician plans to draw from a growing catalog he has sharpened during regular performances at Zeeks Pizza in the Issaquah Highlands.
Connolly has been described as a Celtic-infused amalgam of Jack Johnson, John Mayer and Dave Matthews.
For the Redmond performance, Connolly will deliver a primarily acoustic set, but he also has a high-tech trick up his sleeve.
He’ll also introduce elements of his Wildvine project — the use of gaming technology to create interactive musical effects. In essence, the audience becomes part of the show.
The intimate SecondStory Repertory has only 120 seats, arranged on three sides of the stage.
Following the Saturday set, Connolly will host a talk-back session with audience members.
Tickets cost $20, or $10 for SecondStory Repertory company members and people younger than 25. Purchase tickets online or call the box office at 881-6777.
Connolly is also scheduled to perform at the theater Nov. 20, Jan. 29, March 26 and May 28.
Connolly has cut two albums, “Low to High” and “Running Under Water.” Learn more about the artist here.
