It’s Grandparent’s Day & Tomato Festival Day at the Issaquah Farmers Market from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Sept. 11 at Pickering Farm, 1730 10th Ave. N.W. A Mutation Chinchilla Breeders Association exhibit and show is from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the hay barn. There will be a tomato exhibit and tasting booth led by Kittatas Valley Greenhouse. On Sept. 14, the Issaquah Massage Envy Spa joins 18 Puget Sound-area Massage Envy locations and more than 600 others by hosting the Massage for the Cure, benefiting Susan G. Komen for the Cure in the fight against breast cancer. Massage Envy centers will offer $49 one-hour therapeutic massage sessions, with $15 from each massage being donated directly to the Puget Sound affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The Liberty High School girls basketball team hosts its second annual Poker Tournament and Silent Auction fundraiser Sept. 25 at 5 Star Hall, 15612 S.E. 128th St., Renton. Community Emergency Response Team Training, for ages 16 and up, is 6:30-9:30 p.m. Thursdays Sept. 30 – Nov. 18 at the Issaquah Public Works Building, 670 First Ave. N.E. The CERT program promotes responsibility and self-sufficiency by creating an awareness of all kinds of disasters, and trains individuals to be better prepared to respond to emergency situations for their families, and in their neighborhoods and community. CERT members also give critical support to first responders, provide immediate assistance to victims, help suppress small fires, and perform light search and rescue. Registration fee is $35.
