Liberty High School will honor its 1988 3A state champion football team during halftime of the Patriots’ game against Issaquah High School on Friday.

The nonleague game starts at 7 p.m.

The school will induct the team — as well as late running back Aaron Armstrong — into the school’s hall of fame during the ceremony. Armstrong’s mother will travel from Maryland to attend the ceremony.

Tom Ingles, who coached the team, and George Vanni, the school’s athletic director in 1988, will also be recognized.
