Issaquah High School football players and school leaders will dedicate Gary Moore Stadium during halftime of the Eagles’ home opener on Friday.
The game against Ballard High School starts at 7 p.m.
Moore served a coach and teacher at the then-Issaquah Junior High School and Issaquah High School for 39 years, including 28 years as football coach.
Moore — named Coach of the Year by the National High School Coaches Association in 1984 — led the team to three King County championships. The former coach died at 68 of a stroke in September 2008.
Issaquah School Board members OK’d the stadium name change last year.
