Issaquah High School volleyball routs Redmond

The unbeaten Issaquah High School volleyball team cruised by host Redmond 3-0 Monday in a 4A KingCo Conference match. Issaquah won the games 25-19, 25-14, 25-18.

Sarah Hanna led the Eagles with 12 kills, 10 digs and three aces. Riley Sorenson added 30 assists and four aces, and Rachel Roeder had 10 kills.

Issaquah improved season mark to 9-0 and league record to 6-0. The Eagles remained tied with Newport for first place. Newport also won, defeating Eastlake 25-23, 25-17, 25-20.

In other action, Skyline topped Bothell 3-1. Bothell won the first game 25-21 but Skyline bounced back to win the remaining games 25-21, 25-23, 27-25.

Alyssa Workman sparked the Spartans with 44 assists, 13 digs and three aces. Kennedy Stoa had a strong defensive game with 27 digs. Halle Erdahl had a team-high 14 kills and Mikayla Silva had 12 kills. Jocelyn Reynolds contributed nine kills and five blocks. Skyline raised its league record to 2-4 and evened its season mark at 5-5.

In the 3A/2A KingCo Conference, Liberty defeated Sammamish 25-23, 25-11, 25-22. The Patriots are 6-4 in league play and 6-5 for the season.
