Skyline High School students, football players and coaches packed the school’s theater to recognize Kasen Williams on Tuesday.

Considered to be one of the top recruits in the nation, the University of Washington-bound Williams was one of just 90 players in the United States invited to play in the 2011 U.S. Army All-American Bowl.

The game, which has featured the likes of current NFL stars such as Adrian Peterson, Mark Sanchez, Vince Young and Tim Tebow, happens Jan. 8 at the Alamo Dome in San Antonio. The game will be televised live on NBC.

During the short ceremony, Williams received his game jersey (No. 11) and donned an official All-American Bowl hat.

“It takes a team to put me where I am,” Williams said after putting on his jersey. “I wanna be the guy people leave talking about.”
