The pop-rock band Radumus hosts a benefit concert Saturday for the King County branch of the Toys for Tots Foundation.
The benefit — called Radumubash — is scheduled for 7-10 p.m. Saturday at The Last Supper Club, 124 S. Washington St., Seattle. Donate unwrapped toys and cash to the Toys for Tots Foundation at the show. The cost is $10 at the door or $5 with a toy to donate.
Radumus has local connections. Some band members reside in the Issaquah area. The band also played a schoolwide anti-bullying event at Liberty High School last year.
The band developed the One Big Team anti-bullying program.
“When Radumus and I visit public schools, we meet kids at all age levels in situations like that all the time and want to do whatever we can to pay it forward,” frontman Casey Boness said.
The holiday concert features material from the band’s upcoming “The Radumus EP.” Producer Justin Armstrong — a Dave Matthews Band, Death Cab for Cutie and Pete Towshend collaborator — recorded the album. The benefit also includes a rotating cast of guest artists and a silent auction.
Boness chose the Toys for Tots Foundation as the beneficiary because of a childhood experience.
“I was 6 years old and a guy in a Santa suit knocked on our door with a box full of food, and my mother burst into tears,” he recalled. “It was a very hard time for our family, we truly needed help, and the fact that someone recognized that and took action on our behalf was life changing.”
