Buses operate on reduced schedules Saturday for New Year’s Day.
King County Metro Transit buses operate on a reduced weekday schedule Friday and on a Sunday schedule on Saturday.
The agency offers a list of affected routes to help riders prepare. During the reduced weekday schedules, some commuter and school-oriented routes do not operate, and other routes have individual trips canceled.
In addition, Metro Transit plans to raise fares next year in order to tackle a budget shortfall.
Sound Transit buses and trains operate on special holiday hours. Sunday schedules apply to all ST Express buses and Central Link light rail. The agency operates on regular weekday service Friday, New Year’s Eve.
Riders should check Sound Transit schedules for potential service changes in response to winter weather conditions. Sound Transit customers can also sign up to receive Rider Alerts via e-mail or text message for specific services and bus routes.
Sound Transit plans to reduce some fares for seniors and disabled riders in 2011.
