Issaquah School District elementary schools release students early Tuesday as the district modifies the afternoon schedule to prepare for a snowstorm forecast to hit the region.
The district is on a normal schedule for Tuesday morning, but schools switch to a modified, or Wednesday, schedule for the afternoon. The modified schedule means elementary schools release earlier and secondary schools release a bit later.
Leaders encouraged parents and students to check the bell schedules for individual campuses.
In addition, the district has canceled afternoon kindergarten classes, afternoon preschool classes, morning and afternoon Head Start, and afternoon extended daycare.
The district has also canceled after-school activities, meetings and activity runs.
